Brief Biography:
Originally from Madisonville, Tennessee, I graduated from Tellico Plains High School in 2005- Go Bears!. The following fall I began attending Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and double majored in Business Administration and Accounting with a minor in Religion. In the Spring of 2009 I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. Immediately after graduating, I began the Master of Arts in Teaching program at the Helen DeVos College of Education at Lee University with an anticipated graduation of Summer 2010.
In the winter of 2006-2007 I studied abroad in Romania and witnessed the country’s admission into the European Union on New Year’s Day 2007. While there, the team I traveled with worked w ith an orphanage in the heart of its capitol, Bucharest. The trip broadened my horizons to different cultures and lifestyles and increased my humility for how truly blessed I am and increased my urgency to help those who are disadvantaged both domestically and around the world. (One of my favorite charities is the Blood:Water Mission in which $1 provides a year’s worth of clean drinking water for an African.)
I attend First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. In my spare time I enjoy reading both nonfiction and fiction literature. I spend a lot of time researching leadership studies and am currently writing a thesis for my masters program on emotionally intelligent leadership (or Primal Leadership as coined by Daniel Goleman). Additionally, I enjoy technology projects-- such as this website-- and reading or exploring the latest computer trends and how to integrate them into my classroom.
I am CPA exam ready, meaning that I have met all of the requirements i n the state of Tennessee to sit for the Certified Public Accountant’s exam and become a public accountant. I enjoy analyzing companies and picking them apart financially and analyzing the financial structure of corporations.
Other than that, I enjoy the occasional television show such as Psych or The Office and spending time with my friends and family.
I hope that this has given you a small insight into my life.
Sincerely,

Cody Raper
